Yossi Sassi (Hebrew: יוסי סאסי ,born February 5, 1975) is a guitarist and producer who merges traditional and contemporary music. He is the inventor of the Bouzoukitara. He is known for pioneering & evolving Oriental Prog-Rock, as well as the main composer, arranger and co-founder of Orphaned Land, an Israeli progressive metal band formed in 1991, and founder of the 'Yossi Sassi band'. In 2012, Sassi released his debut album 'Melting Clocks'.[4] In March 2013, Yossi Sassi was voted Top Newcomer of 2012 by Rock Hard Readers.
