Synopsis:

Chu Liu-hsiang, the charming, capable, and, yes, sentimental, swordsman is back in action for this extremely well-named third in the hit box-office series. The titanic team of director Chu Yuan and novelist Ku Lung wisely choose to give their hero a whole new, non-stop, cliffhanger-fraught adventure featuring a mystery swordsman, a sensual swordswoman, an imperial assassin, a Ghost Mansion, the Bat Island, a booby-trapped tunnel, double crosses, and secret missions. And there are no fewer than three martial arts choreographers on hand to guide the amazing mayhem. 

Ti Lung once again reprises his role as the Sentimental Swordsman, although this time he's armed with an iron fan since he ditched the sword in a previous film. The film starts with the honest swordsman, in a surprising move, attacking the kindly Eighth Prince in his bedroom. The prince survives the attack and sends the best martial artists after Ti Lung. The swordsman flees to the legendary "Ghost Village" a place only inhabited by criminals. A mysterious stranger in black is also after Ti Lung. Ti Lung gets to the village but he finds himself in the middle of intrigue and spooky happenings.

Inhoud:

Chu Liu-hsiang is een zwervende vechtssportexpert die loyaal in dienst is van een lokale prins. Wanneer Chu en de prins het bericht krijgen dat de legendarische 'Ghostly Village', een paradijselijk dorp voor dieven, boeven en schurken van alle soorten, een ingewikkeld plan eeft om de prins van zijn troon te stoten, infiltreert Chu in het dorp om de leider van de bandieten, Old Hawk, gevangen te nemen. Maar het wordt gecompliceerd als blijkt dat Old Hawk al lang spionnen heeft aan het koninklijke hof, wat betekent dat Chu en de prins niemand kunnen vertrouwen. Zo wordt Chu er op uitgestuurd, met verschillende huurmoordenaars op zijn hielen, inclusief een mysterieuze en zeer getalenteerde man in het zwart.
