Post Description
Starting from the year 1990, Klaus Schulze’s music follows a new direction. From 1990 until 1995 we will see another style, that many call it “the sample years”. After the first sample album, Miditerranan Pads, Schulze releases this double album, half from live recordings, half made in the studio.
Dresden One and Dresden Two are huge compositions (45 minutes each), in which everything is experimentation of numerous voices, numerous catgories of sound (rhythm, drums, synthesizers etc.) all mixed up in a piece without a defined theme or voice. Dresden Three, is rather an intermezzo (just 10 minutes) than a defined style part. In Dresden Four and Dresden Five the style of the sample years is predominant, and makes its mark as it does in all this double live album.
