Suranne Jones is Ruth Slater, released from prison on licence after she killed two police officers as a teenager (we have yet to find out why she did what she did). Once resettled in a flat and holding down a job, Ruth begins a hunt for the sister she hasn't seen since her conviction and imprisonment. The girl was adopted, with her new family insisting Ruth should never again make contact. Who is the girl involved in a serious road accident? Is there really a poltergeist making mischief in a remote farmhouse?
