A different source recording of an already circulating concert. This audience recording is marginally better, and improves on what was an already very good release. The audience are very audible throughout, however they do not interfere with my personal enjoyment of the show, and their evident knowledge of the songs performed actually adds to the great atmosphere. The show starts off rather ominously with Prince's mic evidently failing during 'Endorphinmachine', and the song is played mainly as an instrumental, however normal business is resumed and the problem is fixed for 'The Jam'. This particular show is one of only 2 Gold Experience concerts where 'The Ride' was played (albeit a rather brief version), and is the only Gold Experience show where 'Glam Slam Boogie' was aired, although it was performed during the various aftershows of the tour. The remainder of the
show is fairly typical, although still extremely good. My only complaint with this Defacto release is that the disc is far too over tracked, and in all honesty there really is no need to be tracking the interludes or the 15 second piano break between
'Shhh' and 'Days Of Wild' - what's up with that? Overall, that's a tiny bitch for such a great release of an excellent show.
