Bizarre endevoured to make Project Gotham Racing 4 more than just a sequel. It's a huge challenge to make the fourth version of any series as original and appealling as the first, and something we tackled head on. Not only has the team polished and refined the existing features of the previous games, but we went all out with new ones too. The hope was that PGR4 would nudge the series into a strong new direction, and both reconnect with old fans whilst at the same time bringing new gamers into the fold.

For PGR4 we've thrown lots of new gameplay elements into the mix. For example; the iconic vehicle selection, super dramatic weather, a Halo-like online party system, a deep stats website, the new red-and-white visual style, replays, ghosts, & photos shared over Xbox Live, and of course, motorcycles.

But it didn't stop there; we've got the AI drivers skidding and earning Kudos for the first time in a PGR game. You'll see the weather change dynamically, so a race around the 'Ring might start in sunshine, but by the end of the long lap you'll be contending with a rain storm. Puddles form around the track, and they'll affect your racing line dramatically.

PGR4 should feel familiar to fans of the series, but the difference this time is depth. More cities, a wider vehicle set, varied weather, bikes, and more multiplayer options than you can shake a stick at!
