James Joseph Brown, Jr (3 mei 1933-25 december 2006) was een Amerikaans zanger en entertainer . Referred to as " The Godfather of Soul ", [ 4 ]  [ 5 ]  Brown is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the 20th century popular music and was renowned for his vocals and feverish dancing. Aangeduid als " The Godfather of Soul ", [4] [5] Brown is herkend als een van de meest invloedrijke figuren in de 20e eeuw populaire muziek en was bekend om zijn zang en koortsig dansen. He was also called "the hardest working man in show business". [ 6 ]  Hij werd ook wel "de hardst werkende man in showbusiness '. [6]

As a prolific singer , songwriter , dancer and bandleader , Brown was a pivotal force in the music industry.
