I checked around on the web but could find no trace of these demos, it really seems they
never made the rounds before. All I could find were some inferior quality versions of two
of the Andy Partridge solo tracks on youtube. But as I am not very knowledgeable at all
when it comes to XTC I may be completely wrong :-)
Anyway, the sound quality is excellent with only little hiss considering the age of the tape.
Madtaper Hans really must have kept his cassettes under very good conditions.
I considered moving the three Andy Partridge solo tracks to the end as they clearly are not
part of the same session; but as you can easily move them around as you wish yourself I
decided to keep the track order as it was on madtapers cassette. Personally I'll certainly put
them at the end whenever I listen to these absolutely fabulous demos.
I downloaded this recording as two long flac files from madtapers blog; I then split the tracks,
edited out a few seconds of dead air inbetween some of the tracks (absolutely no music or
chatting lost!) and added a fade in and a fade out at the very beginning and end of both files.
Other than that i didn't do anything to the original files - especially no NR or EQing.
Added ffp and md5 files, wrote up this info file, and tagged the flac'ed individual tracks.
Hope you enjoy the result!

All thanks go to madtaper Hans for sharing his treasures with us!
Enjoy!
