Callie continues to have a relationship with Wyatt (which as of now is somewhat to dissuade Brandon from pursuing a romantic relationship with her), though Callie will not admit whether they are actually dating or not. Wyatt brings Callie to his real house, which he says is about to be foreclosed. He shows her an elaborate painting he made in his closet over time, which Callie appreciates. Wyatt invites her to a house wrecking party at his house (since it will soon no longer be his house anymore anyway) that evening, but Callie declines due to not wanting to risk violating probation.

Meanwhile, Brandon is practicing for an important piano performance that could get him a scholarship, and is playing unusually aggressively as he does. However when it is time for his dad to take him to the audition, Mike is quite late, which annoys Brandon. Stef's father also visits, and it is seen that he holds traditional christian values about marriage and looks down upon Stef's "choices" (and in fact asserts that being gay is a choice, much to Stef's annoyance and disagreement). Callie attends a mandatory foster child therapy group where various foster kids meet and talk about their experiences. After hearing one girl, Sarah, talk particularly optimistically about her current experience, Callie starts up some small talk with her privately. However things get extremely awkward when Callie instinctively (and verbally) identifies Sarah's foster brother as the "Liam" from Callie's past based on Sarah's anonymous description of him, which creeps Sarah out.

Later Mariana questions Callie about her relationship with Wyatt and eventually learns of Wyatt's party which she wants to go to, making Callie reluctantly decide to go to with her as well. Jesus wants to go to a christian camp with Lexi, but Stef is concerned that the camp might pressure him against his lesbian family. That night Callie and Mariana go to the party (and have to lie to Stef and Lena about what exactly they are doing at Wyatt's house), while Jesus, Stef and Lena have dinner with Lexi and her parents. At the party, Callie hangs out with Wyatt while Mariana finds Kelsy there (now out of rehab) and they talk as well. Apparently Lexi had tried to get the morning after pill from Kelsy due to Kelsy's history with pills, so Kelsy knows about Lexi and Jesus having sex and she accidentally spills this information to Mariana, who is shocked and starts heavily drinking. Meanwhile Wyatt starts to get emotional and destructive in his room from sudden distress at losing his childhood house, but Callie calms him down and Wyatt finds consolation in being able to remove part of the wall from his closet with his artwork. They decide to leave, but Callie first wants to find Mariana. Meanwhile at the dinner, Stef's father comes in unexpectedly and joins them, quickly turning the conversation into a religious debate on marriage, with Lexi's parents surprisingly supporting Stef and Lena's decision to be together.

Back at the party, while Callie is looking for Mariana she finds Talya there, who actually is friendly and acknowledges that Callie's relationship with Wyatt means she was wrong about Callie being into Brandon. Instead, Talya says that it was Brandon who was into Callie. Callie finds Mariana drunk and unwilling to leave the party quite yet, and Callie walks away and takes some pictures for fun of the party. While doing so, she notices that Liam is at the party. He sees her and orders with anger in his voice telling Callie to stay away from Sarah, and Callie says she was just curious. Liam however thinks Callie is still into him and gets aggressive and slightly physical with her until Wyatt comes and makes Liam back off. Mariana then finds them and they leave. On their way out Callie notices Talya dancing around drunk and being filmed. Callie offers for Talya to leave with them, but Talya declines.

When Callie and Mariana arrive home they find that the dinner is still going on, and while Callie wants to hide the fact that Mariana is drunk, Stef calls them over. Lexi's mom mentions the christian camp Jesus and Lexi plan to go to, which causes Mariana to drunkenly comment on the stupidity of that given that Jesus and Lexi have already once had unprotected sex together. This reveal shocks everyone (particularly Lexi's parents, who hadn't known about it), and Stef and Lena can tell that Mariana is drunk and scold her for it, both girls went to a party and Mariana tells Lexi's parents about the sex later. They then talk to Callie about it and thank her for personally not drinking and watching over Mariana, but ask her to contact them in the future. Callie worries about whether Mariana is feeling alright, and offers her some medicine. That night Callie receives an instagram update from Liam, commenting on a picture of the tree outside Callie's window in a way that reveals he knows where she lives, which worries Callie.
