Without doubt this is one of the best shows from the Musicology tour in terms of performance, and one of the better releases of the tour in terms of sound quality. The 2nd last show of the tour and actually a far superior show to the final concert. The concert is pretty basic for the first half hour, however things pick up during 'No Diggity' and from then until the end of 'Purple Rain' Prince and the band barely put a foot wrong. 'Controversy' contains a few lines from 'I Want To Take You Higher' in honour of Larry Graham. The acoustic set features a stunningly beautiful
performance of 'When Will We Be Paid?', and is performed as soulful and emotionally as I have heard. 'Whole Lotta Love' begins with Prince tuning his guitar, and ends (as always) with the guitar feedback screaming throughout the arena (and out your
speakers). Again the bass jam over 'Lopsy Lou' is played as a lengthy 3 minute segue between 'Let's Work' and 'U Got The Look'. Something else worth mentioning is that this is one of the VERY few shows where the NPGMC Members in the audience get a mention - unlike the ONA Tour where they were mentioned nearly every night. The source of this release is the same as the Fahrenheit 9/10 fan release. Defacto have merely edited out
parts and cleaned things up a little. The sound quality is excellent throughout and the audience noise only really comes from a guy with a tambourine (who is asked to move by the person taping - very funny). Excellent performance, excellent sound quality, great set-list and a brilliant release.
