Camping For Allah


After 9/11 many began questioning the idea of a Muslim youth camp. There was fear that such camps would be used to train terrorists and teach young Muslims hatred towards Christians and Jews. This film follows a group of young American Muslims who travel to a Muslim Camp in California and explores their different social, religious and political views and answers the question: what really goes on in a Muslim youth camp?

The film features Imam Sayed Moustafa Al-Qazwini, a renowned Muslim scholar who has been featured in many programs on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, PBS, CNN, NPR, among many others.

The film is an Official Selection at the San Diego International Children Film Festival, 2007 and Pause & Play International Film Festival, UAE, 2007 DVD includes 90 minutes of extended scenes including "Women Issues Discussion", " The Ablution Ritual" and "The Muslim Burial Ritual".
