Last month Richard Branson and his children bravely faced their first ever record attempt together as a family, crossing the Atlantic in the fastest time ever in the mono-hull sailing boat Virgin Money. The Bransons: Come Hell or High Water tells the story of the attempt with Richard, son and fellow adventurer Sam and daughter Holly.

Approaching sixty yet showing no signs of slowing down, Branson believes that this attempt is the twelfth time he has defied death, this time with the added jeopardy of his family on board with him. The hour long documentary combines unique and never seen before access to the Branson family dynamic in the build up to this perilous record attempt, with all the raw excitement and adrenalin of the attempt itself.

The programme also has an exclusive interview with Richard’s mother Eve, who gives us a fascinating insight into Richard’s upbringing and how she encouraged his adventurous spirit – like dropping him four miles from home on the way back from school to make him find his own way home!
