24 hours in police custody. s05e03. Channel 4 documentaire.

24 Hours in Police Custody is a British documentary television series shown on Channel 4. It follows Bedfordshire Police as they investigate cases in Luton.[1] Filming took place at Luton Police Station over a six-week period[2] using more than 80 cameras.[3]

24 Hours in Police Custody is back tonight, but how is such a groundbreaking crime documentary filmed?
24 Hours in Police Custody returns for its fifth series tonight (Monday, June 5), and it remains one of the most underrated and gripping programmes on TV right now.
If you've not caught it before, the Channel 4 documentary shows just what happens when detectives have just 24 hours to hold a suspect following a crime.
It follows exactly what happens the moment police from Luton and other areas respond to an alleged crime – from murder, to rape, to human trafficking and other major incidents – using both fixed and handheld cameras.
It's incredibly rare to get such close access to police as they undertake their investigations, and it throws up some seriously emotional and troubling real-life stories along the way. At times, it's easy to forget that you're not watching a scripted drama.
The first episode of series 5 follows the aftermath of when Latvian 22-year-old Reinis Pupolins killed a Canadian stranger with a fire extinguisher at a Hilton hotel near Luton Airport in September 2015. The harrowing episode attempts to discover just why he did this, only to then wait at the hotel for the police to arrest him.
