Episode 8 - The Granary, Titchfield, EnglandGordon Ramsay openly admits that he has a troubled past and that cooking was his salvation, so it's particularly important to him that he turns around the fortunes of this week's ailing restaurant. The Granary, a posh cavern of a place situated in an affluent part of Hampshire, has a kitchen staffed by ex-offenders. But although the youngsters are lippy and disrespectful, this is not the reason for the Granary's empty seats and disgruntled customers. Its owner, entrepreneur Nigel, has totally misjudged what his clientele want, doesn't recognise badly cooked food and can't manage his way out of a folded napkin. But he won't be told, and the exchanges between him and Gordon are so heated they could caramelise a crème brûlée, while their language is as ripe as a five-year-old camembert
