A quirky comedy about the relationship between an ageing father and his young daughter, living in a cosmopolitan city, dealing with each other's conflicting ideologies while being fully aware that they are each other's only emotional support. 
Piku is heartwarming. The story reels off a comic father-daughter relationship in the most unusual manner.
The plot revolves around the life of a dissatisfied office worker 'Piku' and the difficulties she faces while dealing with the countless number of tantrums put forth by her 70-year old father. The movie possesses a convincing run-time replenished with absolute innocence. No overused romance sequences, no illogical flying cars, no unnecessary dance acts and above all, a heartfelt story contributes towards the film's charm. Yet another time, a road trip depiction capitalizes in bringing a smile to the audience's faces. Also, an uncustomary climax categorizes the film as a disparate one, unlike majority of the Bollywood films today.
Kudos to the casting department for setting up such a brilliant troupe of performers. Deepika Padukone, who portrays the central character in the film, is unquestionably impressive. She certainly manages to delineate her charisma throughout the movie. But, Amitabh Bachchan's performance is the cream of the crop, this goes without saying. Everything ranging from his dialogue delivery to his demeanor is peerless. Irrfan Khan is known for his gifted talent of never disappointing his viewers. With this film, once again, he proves how worthy his presence is. Supporting characters played by Moushumi Chatterjee and Jishu Sengupta are above average.
Shoojit Sircar is definitely the future of the industry. After Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe, the director has undoubtedly managed to maintain his reputation in the film circle. Screenplay by Juhi Chaturvedi is exquisite, in every sense of the word. The people behind the cameras deserve a special ovation for their work. Music by Anupam Roy is mesmerizing.
Summarizing everything, Piku is a different tale, filled with relishable moments. Your age won't make a difference, since, the movie is for everyone. Go, experience something new. Experience 'Piku'!

Let op: Kies nooit voor het inbakken van ondertiteling in het videobeeld.
Vookeur is om een extra ondertitelspoor (PGS) of nog beter een losse SRT.
Ook verstandig is om handmatig ALLE audiosporen in de MKV op te nemen.
Vink aan audiosporen copieren voor behoud van het orginele DTS geluid.

Probeer eens met losse programma's, dat werkt veel beter bij problemen.
NZB opslaan met Spotnet, downloaden met Grabit, eerst via de nieuwsserver van je provider.
Daarna dezelfde nzb downloaden via onder andere Astraweb, Blocknews, Nextgennews en Tweaknews.
Die payservers kun je pay-by-download ofwel pre-paid afnemen, geen vaste maandelijkse kosten.
Als ik deze spot ook op place2home heb aangemeld, kun je die rar's en par's ook combineren.
Grote kans dat het uiteindelijk wel lukt, gezien elke server weer andere incompletes bevat.
