Het verhaal
De televisie serie Dexter is gebaseerd op het boek van Jeff Lindsay, Dreaming Dexter. Dit boek verteld het verhaal van een vreemde man, Dexter Morgen. Zijn jeugd was naar, hij is mishandeld en verlaten, maar tegenwoordig is Dexter een succesvolle forensisch patholoog. Maar zijn charismatische persoonlijkheid is maar schijn, hij heeft namelijk een verschrikkelijk geheim. Hij heeft nog een tweede carrière, hij jaagt op moordenaars die niet berecht zijn, hij is dus een moordenaar die moordenaar vermoord?

Rita feels threatened when she meets Dexter"s new NA sponsor, Lila. She also deals with a visit from her estranged mother. Elsewhere, Dexter continues to try to throw the persistent FBI Agent Lundy off his trail.

Dexter learns that one of the three men who murdered his mother is still alive and, thanks to the Witness Protection Program, running a pub in Naples, FA.
