Synopsis:

Based on the "2.26 Incident", an attempted coup d'état in Japan 1936, launched by radical 
ultra-nationalist parts of the military. Several leading politicians were killed and the center of
Tokyo was briefly held by the insurgents before the coup was suppressed. 

Inhoud:

Begin jaren 30, Mantsjoerije is bezet door Japan. Japan verlaat de volkenbond nadat die het land 
veroordeeld hebben voor hun optreden in Mantsjoerije. Intussen heerst er hongersnood en 
werkloosheid op de Japanse eilanden. Dit leidt tot woede richting de leiders die deze situatie 
gecreëerd hebben om zo hun eigen zakken te vullen. Een groep jonge officieren besluit om de 
corrupte personen naar beneden te halen en een nieuwe regering op te zetten.
