Lee Gates, een bekende televisiepresentator, staat dankzij zijn beleggingstips bekend als de geldgoeroe van Wall Street.
Maar als Kyle Budwell door een tip van Lee al zijn geld en dat van zijn familie verliest, besluit hij om Lee en zijn complete team te gijzelen.
De gijzeling wordt live uitgezonden op tv en de enige die Gates in de studio kan helpen is zijn producent Patty.
In een spannende race tegen de klok proberen Lee en Patty de waarheid te achterhalen over het complot binnen de internationale financiële wereld.
