Blue (1971) is the fourth album of Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. Exploring the various facets of relationships from infatuation on "A Case of You" to insecurity on "This Flight Tonight", the songs feature simple accompaniments on piano, guitar, and Appalachian dulcimer. Blue was a critical and commercial success, reaching #15 on the Billboard 200 and #3 in the UK Albums Chart. The single "Carey" reached #93 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In January 2000, the New York Times chose Blue as one of the 25 albums that represented "turning points and pinnacles in 20th-century popular music"

Ik vind dit Blue van een zeldzame klasse, met nummers als Blue, California, River en A Case of You kan ik hier onmogelijk van een draak spreken. Haar gitaarspel was onconventioneel evenals haar zang. Joni bewandelde niet de wegen die zovelen al liepen, maar deed haar eigen ding, net zoals haar tijdgenoot Dylan. Ik kan mij wel indenken dat de stem wat wenkbrauwen laat fronsen, maar zij gebruikte het ook als een instrument en was m.i. zekers niet ontdaan van welke vorm van emotie dan ook. MJ

The signal was imported into Adobe Audition at 96kHz/32-bit (float). All vinyl pop 
removal has been done manually using Audition's pop/click removal tool. No EQ or NR has been added.
